Every step in production, from sourcing raw fibres directly from Australian farms, to carding, spinning and weaving, is carefully considered and done by hand. This involves many hours of skilled work, resulting in a truly unique textile.

Every scarf features yarn that has been spun by hand on small tools called spindles. They are one of our earliest known tools with a history dating back 7000 years. The yarn they produce gives a distinct quality to the finished fabric that no other tool can match.

Each scarf is woven individually by hand on rigid heddle looms using a warp of undyed Australian Super Cotton. This warp yarn is grown, ginned and spun here in Australia using minimal water and chemicals.

Bonsai Woman Infinity Scarves are designed to be treasured as beautiful slow fashion accessories and wearable fibre art. They are available exclusively through Newcastle Art Gallery, Australia.
